Accessibility
The Institute of Legal Executives (ILEX) recognises that sight
impaired Internet users can find websites difficult or even
impossible to use because of the way that they have been designed.
This website has been developed using suggested best practices in
order to promote accessibility.
The site is constructed in such a way that screen readers can
navigate the site successfully. This includes adding descriptive
text to navigable images and summary text in the website code for
tables included on the site. Also, the content of the site can be
read in a logical manner, even when styles are disabled.
The main body copy is scaleable so that it can be increased in
size if necessary without affecting the site's appearance. Also,
the colours of the text and background contrast sufficiently so
that legibility is optimised and navigable links use visual
identifiers that are not reliant on colour alone.
